They know the word and in some sense what it means, but it does not really belong in their vocabulary. To them playing and having fun is hugely more important than the exercise component of physical activities. It is never a chore to them, never a 'workout', always just plain fun... We should pay attention to this approach. Don't try to exercise just for health, appearance, doctors orders, etc, etc. Make sure it is an activity you like to do, something that is fun for you above all else, even if it is not as efficient or as cutting edge as some fitness approaches. After all how useful is an exercise program if you only do it for a few months!
