Are you searching for how to workout in a wheelchair? >> look at the websites on this page; Fitness and words like exercise are rapidly becoming associated with negative feelings, if that's possible... The inactive lifestyle and diet of most North Americans has forced people to start doing something to provide their bodies with adequate amounts of physical activity to prevent risks to their health. This could have spawned an attitude toward exercise and fitness which could be harmful in the long run. The rate at which people actually stay on a 'fitness program' is quite low. It is not necessarily the programs, but rather the mental attitude to exercise which is blameworthy for this high attrition rate. Consider many younger children who have not yet fallen victim to and inactive lifestyle or being overweight. Watch them closely and you can tell that the actual word exercise has no meaning to them. They know the word and in some sense what it means, but it does not actually sink in. To them playing and having fun is way more important than the exercise part. It is never a chore to them, never a 'workout', always just plain fun... We should take note of this approach. Don't try to exercise just for health, appearance, doctors orders, etc, etc. Ensure that it is something you enjoy, something that is fun for you above all else, even if it is not as efficient or not as trendy as most of todays high tech fitness approaches. After all how effective is any exercise program if you give it up shortly after beginning!
