They know the word and in some sense what it means, but it is not a concept they need to incorporate into their lives. To them playing and having fun is by far a priority over the exercise aspect of activities. It is never a chore to them, never a 'workout', always just plain fun... We can benefit from this approach. Don't try to exercise just for health, appearance, doctors orders, etc, etc. Make sure it is an activity you like to do, something that is fun for you above all else, even if it is not as efficient or as targeted as many of todays fitness approaches. After all how effective is any exercise program if you fail to follow it!
