Searching for information on workouts for people with rhemotiod arthritis? >> browse the websites further down; The fun and enjoyment factor of fitness and exercise is rapidly dropping for many, if that's possible... The sedentary lifestyle and diet of most North Americans has forced people to take it upon themselves to provide their bodies with an adequate amount of exercise to minimize health risks. This could have spawned an attitude toward exercise and fitness which actually does more harm than good. The rate at which people actually stay on a 'fitness program' is pretty low. The programs may not be the cause, but rather the mental attitude to exercise itself which is perhaps responsible for this high attrition rate. Consider many younger children who have not yet fallen victim to and inactive lifestyle or being overweight. Watch them closely and see that the actual word exercise does not mean anything to them. They know the word and in some sense what it means, but it does not belong to their world. To them playing and having fun is by far more important than the exercise component. It is never a chore to them, never a 'workout', always just plain fun... We need to learn from this approach. Don't try to exercise just for health reasons, appearance, doctors orders, etc, etc. Do something you like, something that is fun for you above all else, even if it is not as efficient or as targeted as many of todays fitness approaches. What good is a trendy and contemporary exercise program if you only do it for a few months!
